Happy New Year. Yes, I am a few days late, but better nate than lever. Ah-- that is an old joke, but no time for that now. A fabulous New Years it was, with close friends, good food, good wine, and Mah Jongg. Yes, you heard me, Mah Jongg.

Reflecting back, I would say 2005 was a very good year. I settled into a new house, was able to take a few nice trips, and overall just enjoy life. Oh, and I turned 30.

In any event, a quick shout out to Joe Paterno, who everyone had castigated as being too old and behind the times.
